What type of church is The Journey Church?
We are a non-denominational church with people from all backgrounds (no church affiliation, Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, etc.). Whether you’ve been attending church for years or this is your first time, you’ll feel welcome at The Journey.
When are services?
We have three locations across Manhattan every Sunday. You’ll experience the same practical teaching, powerful worship and exciting Journey Kidz program at every location. Each service lasts 65-70 minutes. You should arrive about 10 minutes early if you have children. That will give you plenty of time to check them in at Journey Kidz before the service begins. See below for specifics for each location.
The Journey Village meets at the Greenwich Village School (11th St. & 6th Ave. between 6th and 7th Ave.) every Sunday at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 6:30pm. Click Here For More Info
The Journey Upper West Side meets at the Emily Dickinson School (96th St. & West End Ave.) every Sunday at 11:00am. Click Here For More Info

What happens when I arrive?
As you approach each of our Journey locations you will see signs along the way to direct you to the entrance. You’ll also see our friendly greeters in Journey t-shirts pointing the way to the worship service or to Journey kidz if you have children. More greeters will be available to answer any questions, hand you a program, and find you the best seat available when you get to the auditorium. While you wait, feel free to enjoy the music, read about upcoming events up on the screens, and complete as much information as you feel comfortable sharing on the Connection Card in your program (which we’ll collect toward the end of the service).
What is the service like?
First of all, you won’t be pointed out or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. You will have a meaningful, stress-free experience…and you’ll have a lot of fun.
Each service is about 65 minutes. The first 15 minutes of the service you’ll get to enjoy some modern worship music led by our Worship Arts Team. We’ll have the words to each song up on the screen, so you can sing as much as you feel comfortable!
After a short welcome from one of our pastors, there is usually another song or we’ll jump right into the day’s teaching. Each message/sermon is 30-35 minutes long and takes eternal Biblical principles and applies them to your life in some very real and practical ways. And we’ll give you message notes with all of the Bible verses we will be reading and a pen so you can take notes. So, you can review what you learned later in the week.
What about my kids?
Journey Kidz will be the BEST hour of your kid’s week! All children–from birth to 5th grade–are invited to join us in a fun, safe, clean, interactive environment where our team of trained volunteers creates an environment your child will want to come back to every week!
When you register your child, you will receive a receipt sticker that you will use to pick up your child after the service. On that receipt, you will also notice a three-digit code, which will appear on the screens in the main auditorium should your child need you during the service.
