What is a growth group?
Growth Groups are The Journey’s groups of 12 to 15 people that meet in convenient locations all across New York City to learn more about the Bible, grow in their faith, and meet some great new friends.

Is there a group that’s right for me?
Since there are a variety of groups, you’ll have the chance to share your life experiences with others who have similar ones.

Do I need to buy a book or study guide?
Yes. You will need to purchase the book that your group will be studying. But, if purchasing a book is a financial hardship, please email [email protected] and we will be happy to help you out. We don’t want anything to keep you from growing!

What happens when I sign up?
When you sign up, the leader of your new Growth Group will contact you with the address of the Group’s meeting place, the date and time you’ll be starting on, and all the other information you’ll need to have a great experience.

When will my group meet?
Growth Groups meet once a week, and each meeting is just sixty to ninety minutes long. Groups meet for ten to twelve times over the semester. It’s a short-term commitment but the positive impact on your life will be long-term.

What will the people in my group be like?
Growth Group is made up of the same people that attend a Journey worship service. You’ll most likely see a few people that you have seen on Sunday as well as some people that you’re meeting for the first time. It’s a great way to get to know other people outside of a Sunday service.

Can I invite others?
Invite as many friends, co-workers, neighbors, family, etc. that aren’t connected to another church. Growth Groups are designed to get people connected to our church and to develop friendships with one another. The more people, the better.
