Parenting in the Digital Age Seminar
Tuesday, November 12
The Journey’s Midtown Offices
7:00pm – 9:00pm
Children ages 8 to 18 spend more time with media than they do at school or with their parents. Learn more about this brave new world you are parenting in from Michelle Ciulla Lipkin, Executive Director of the National Association for Media Literacy Education. During this seminar, we will discuss the many ways — both positive and negative — in which media is impacting our children’s lives. Michelle will address social media, digital citizenship, and media literacy, and will offer tips on how to navigate parenting in this digital age. The various forms of media are a huge part of our kids’ lives. Let’s work together to prepare them for a successful life in today’s world.
