WEDDINGS AT THE JOURNEY
(Jesus) “But ‘God made them male and female’ from the beginning of creation. ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”– Mark 10:6-9

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We are excited for you and want to support you and help you set a solid, godly foundation to your future marriage as husband and wife.
Due to the large number or requests to perform wedding ceremonies made upon the Pastors of our staff and due to the busy schedule of the church – The Journey has adopted the following policies for staff pastors regarding performing wedding ceremonies:
•Journey Pastors are available to perform wedding ceremonies for Journey Members and attendees. We are not able to officiate ceremonies for those visiting NYC from out-of-town or those who have no connection to the church (exceptions for family or close personal friends).
•Previously scheduled church events take priority over a request to preside at a wedding. Pastors are unable to conduct wedding ceremonies on Sundays because of a full schedule of worship services.
•To be married by a Journey Pastor, a couple is required to commit to premarital counseling – which consists of participation with other engaged and newly married couple in our Engaged & Newly Married Couples Growth Group (which typically lasts for 10-12 weeks). For more details – email [email protected].
•As a general rule, Journey Pastors are only available for weddings in the metro NYC area.
•Typically – a $200-250 honorarium is appropriate to give the pastor officiating your wedding. However – financial limitation will not prevent a Journey Pastor from officiating a wedding.
If you would like to request one of The Journey’s Pastors to preside at your wedding, please fill out the form below and click submit. One of our staff will contact you.
